Jamael, a St. Louis native now based in the Atlanta metropolitan area, is an author, educator, and former journalist whose work bridges storytelling, faith, and social impact. He is the coauthor of I Wonder Why and Life Is Good Every Day and has served as a ghostwriter on other manuscripts. Jamael is the former sports editor of his college newspaper, The Meter. He also worked as a freelance sportswriter for The Florida Today and Urban Journal. His resume includes stints as a public relations intern for the NFL’s Tennessee Titans and the Arena Football League's Nashville Kats.
Despite his accomplishments as a writer, he currently works as a language arts teacher and a mentor for at-risk teens. He holds degrees in Communications, Human Resources Management, and Teaching Special Education from Tennessee State University, Argosy University, and Liberty University. A Stained-Glass Window is his debut collection of poems and short stories.
